Project Info:

Smile Together CiC is a Community Interest Company providing commissioned dental services in Cornwall. Beginning life as a subsidiary holding, the company is now independently run providing a variety of services including emergency and out of hours dental care in Cornwall.

Run with a focus on its community obligations as a CiC, Smile Together is working hard to find new and innovative ways to deliver dental care to Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

The initial contract, commenced in November 2015, was to assist in the transition from a subsidiary operation into an independent limited company.

The main support provided was attending weekly update meetings, engaging external stakeholders, and keeping project documentation up to date.

During the transition period, there were several IT projects that came to light where software and hardware either required updating, or was assessed to be no longer affordable.

Robinson Contractor Ltd provided a proposal with key suggested updates and solutions. From a companywide IT hardware refresh to a telephony system solution and different software options. This proposal was submitted to the executive team, approved, and a twelve-month extension agreed to enable the first phases to begin.

From April 2016 to March 2017, the agreed key objectives were delivered, including the scoping and recruitment to an IT analyst role, to ensure the company continued to move forwards in the direction set out in the blueprint document.
